Overseas School Application

Every student needs a little special attention to stand out from the crowd. Whether it’s preparing for high school or college application, or just building a strong number of their own, everybody calls on a portfolio coach.

Sunrise has a number of outstanding Broadway and West End experienced performers on its books. As practitioners themselves, with vast experience in reaching a high level of performance, they are not just teachers but professional coaches. It is this individual one-to-one coaching that gives the student that edge to bring their performance to its highest level. Our professional coaches are available to work with you in a professional studio space or online via Zoom. With a professional film crew, and your coach guiding you all the way, we can film your “number” to be then submitted for overseas high school or college application. Alongside a recommendation letter from the Coach, we have helped a number of students get into their dream school overseas.

Recent Successful Cases

Tina – New York University (NY, US)

Tina has 10 lessons with Sunrise acting teacher Colin (Matilda original cast) and successfully got the offer from NYU in 2021 with major in Directing (Tisch School of Arts).

Eric – Deerfield Academy (Massachusetts, US)

Eric received just a few hours of coaching from Sunrise teachers in monologue. He submitted the monologue video to Deerfield Academy as part of the application package.

In the video filmed by Sunrise staff, Eric demonstrated his fluent English, excellent presentation skill, and a talent in theatre. Deerfield Academy, who values the drama educaction itself, sees confidence, creativity, and maturity in this 14-year old boy and extends the offer to Eric.

Coco – Professional Children’s School (New York, US)

Coco, who used to study dance at Beijing Dance Academy, went to New York for a month-long training by Sunrise teachers.

She got into a show at Radio City Music Hall and was admitted to Professional Children’s School, a Manhattan-based high school with a focus in performing arts.

Zhizhi – Dulwich College (London, UK)

Zhizhi started to attend Sunrise programs in 2017 and has learned songwriting from Sunrise teachers for 2 years. He has composed dozens of songs under the coaching from Sunrise teacher.

His songs have been sold on Internet for hundreds of times. His special talent in composing became a highlight in his application package and got admitted to Dulwich College in London.

Polina – Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Glasgow, Scotland)

Polina learned the ABRSM program from Sunrise teacher Jacquline for two years (towards Grade 8).

She had a successful audition and got amitted to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Amanda – Berkley College of Music (Boston, US)

Amanda only took 5 audition lessons from Sunrise teachers before she had a successful audition and got into to the Berklee College of Music.
