Tara is an international teaching artist, actor support ally, song and soul coach, and college audition prep mentor available live in NY, NJ and Philly.
As a teacher and coach, Tara gives her students/clients a safe cocoon to grow their wings, aiming to uncover material that fits like a glove, pump up performance confidence, build storytelling skills, and develop professional level audition packages. She believes deeply that both soul and craft go hand in hand to enhance the creative process and encourages her students to embrace their individual flavors as not only actors, but artists with something to say. Tara also enjoys being a faerie godmomma to high school students searching for what college theatre program suits them best.
Tara has served as a teacher, coach, director, and/or choreographer with Sunrise Art Group in China, Broadway Connections, iTheatrics, Artistree Performing Arts, The Stage Theatre School, and the Walnut Street Theatre within their Theatre School, Adopt-a-School, and annual Camp Walnut. She has freelanced as a choreographer for various performance groups ranging from temples to churches to college opera companies. She also served as visiting teacher for Temple University’s Musical Theatre program and has had her private students go on to train at competitive theatre programs and perform on professional stages from Radio City to top regional houses on the East Coast.
She has trained as a song coach at Goodspeed Opera House with Brent Wagner, former chair of University of Michigan’s musical theatre program. She is currently the resident song coach and co-creator of BYOSong with Owen Pelesh, co-teacher and co-creator of ARTIST ALIGNMENT college level masterclass with her husband on sustaining the actor lifestyle, creating workshops/masterclasses with her girl Jenna Pastuszek , and coaching privately both virtually and live in NY and Philly.
